We respect the privacy of everyone who comes into contact with Division IT. We like to ensure that the personal information you provide is treated confidentially. Personal data will be processed in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation. The privacy statement below describes how Division IT handles personal data.
Purposes and bases of data processing
We process your personal data for the purpose of establishing and deepening the relationship with Division IT. How far your relationship with Division IT goes, is largely up to you. If you actively participate in Division IT activities as an employee of a member company, for example in committees or working groups, we will approach you more often with related questions, information or knowledge exchange.
If you register for a Division IT activity (e.g. a meeting, newsletter or request for certain information), order something or make use of our services via the website or in another way, we may also use your data to send you related, relevant information, including information on membership of Division IT.
If your organisation is a customer of Division IT, your data will be processed as a necessary part of the execution of the rights and duties resulting from the membership or based on the law. In addition, Division IT has a legitimate interest in sending those who have provided their data in order to receive a service (such as technical support, the newsletter, an order, attending an event, participation in a committee or otherwise), additional information about Division IT, as long as the person in question has not indicated that they no longer wish to do so.
What data is processed
For each service we ask you to provide certain data. For example, a valid e-mail address is required for sending the newsletter, and contact and invoice data are required when ordering a product or service. In a number of cases, we ask for additional data about the company that is not mandatory. This data is used to gain more insight into the type of organisations that purchase services from Division IT, so that we can improve our services and better fulfil the objectives of the association.
Storage periods
When someone signs up for the newsletter, Division IT will keep the personal data for the period in which that person has not unsubscribed from the newsletter. In addition, Division IT will retain the personal data for the period it deems relevant in the context of its services. The above periods apply unless Division IT is obliged by law to keep personal data for a longer period.
Use of private area
If you are an employee of one of Division IT's clients, you can obtain a user name and password to log into the private area of our website. As a user, you are responsible for handling the username and password carefully. We assume that a person who logs on with a user name and password is authorised to use them. If a user suspects that the password is known to unauthorised persons, the user must inform Division IT as soon as possible so that measures can be taken.
